Gramps is idolized by his young grandson, Pud, who models his every action after the old man. But Gramps' salty expressions and rough behavior are frowned upon by both the strait-laced Aunt Demetria and the warm-hearted Granny. Death, in the form of Mr. Brink, comes to claim Gramps, who outwits Mr. Brink by trapping him up an apple tree, thus suspending Death throughout the universe. This funny & heart-warming fable on life & family comes from the writer of last season’s popular comedy, Morning’s At Seven. Featured are PAC veterans Paul O’Hern as Gramps, Keith Elkins as Mr. Brink and Jon Summers as the wise town doctor.

A Broadway and London hit, this play was also produced as a fi lm by MGM. It was titled Gaslight and starred Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer, Angel Street is the second longest running mystery in Broadway history. It tells the story of the Manninghams, a newly married couple who appear to be the essence of Victorian tranquility. It is soon apparent, however, that the suavely handsome Mr. Manningham is slowly driving his gentle, devoted wife, Bella, to the brink of insanity with an insinuating kindness which masks more sinister motives. As the story unfolds, the author builds and sustains some of the most brilliant, suspenseful sequences in modern theatre.
On Borrowed Time and Angel Streetwere presented at The Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society.

O’Connell & Company Artistic Director Mary Kate O’Connell plays the mad-cap Mame. Mary Kate’s real life nephew, Patrick Cooke, plays her stage nephew, Patrick Dennis.
